The Provincetown International Film Festival has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. 823 of the 1,686 eligible applications for the Art Works projects were funded. On the same day, the Provincetown Film Society received a $200,000 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council/MassDevelopment Cultural Facilities Fund. A 1:1 Matching grant, the funds will go toward the renovation and purchase of new equipment for the Film Society's year-round home at the Cinema in Whalers Wharf.
